Tutoring at Horizon Elementary
Last year the PTA surveyed the teachers at Horizon Elementary and an overwhelming majority wanted the PTA to focus increasing the number of our volunteers and developing a strong and effective tutoring program reaching the majority of at risk students at Horizon Elementory.
Not only are we searching for tutor volunteers but also for a strong leader to head up this program. Tutors can come from all walks of life: exceptional high school students, retired teachers, stay at home moms, or retired professionals. There is an unlimited amount of professional organizations, churches, or volunteer communitites that could help us fulfill our dream of bringing the best education possible for every student at Horizon Elementary!
